Will They Gell?

Today’s episode revealed Collin LaHay and Devin Hunter putting up over $400 in a single day without spending a dime of their own resources.  Those are some impressive numbers considering that Collin and Devin are both somewhat new to the affiliate marketing field.

Jonathan Van Clute and Jani Gaffor SMOKED them by contrast on the first day of the two day challenge.

It is going to be interesting to see if Uberaffiliate is able to pump enough money into Collin LaHay’s campaigns to buy him the win.  Rumor on the set has it that Paul hates Jonathan VanClute and would do anything to see him trounced in the show finale.  There has even been talk of Paul pumping whatever he needs to into Colin LaHay’s campaigns to push him over the top.

We have heard that Uber wants to show his readers what a joke this show is by buying a win for a contestant and then posting a picture of him holding the Wright’s Jewelers Immunity Ring.  It is no secret that Uber basically pumped $1600 into Collin LaHay’s account in the first individual challenge.  Collin knows he has an ace in his pocket when he needs it.

The question is, did Collin play his cards too soon, and how much money is a Paul willing to spend to be a part of the show when he could have just auditioned in the first place for free?

Jonathan VanClute is clearly intimidated by Uber based on his confessionals on the set.  Will he be able to hang in there against Collin, or was the Uber account pump a one time deal?

You realize that I didn’t make that post to bash Jon Van Clute, I made it to showcase your production team’s great math skills. 200,000 targeted visitors at a $2 CPM is $400, not $200.

Yes, we all realized that as soon as we watched the episode. But that will all be taken care of when we re-edit all of the episodes and re-upload them to Google Video. We only have 24 hours to make an episode, so we rarely even get time to watch them once they are up.

Rumor on the set was that you thought VanClute was a tool and you were willing to do whatever you had to to see him defeated. Hell, John Chow even tried to solicit Carl to take over some of your campaigns like Collin LaHay did. But Carl wanted to compete on his own merits.

We are definitely going to retool some things for next season, and we are already developing tracking scripts that will minimize the ability of people to use outside resources on the show. But no matter how much we track, there will always be ways around for those who want a shortcut.

In fact, almost all of the money earned by Team XY7 was fraudulent and will not be paid at all by the networks.
