Time to Get Those Audition Videos in!

Wednesday, April 9th, 2008

As you can now see on the auditions page of the Top Affiliate Challenge website, there are a LOT of users who signed up for accounts but have not uploaded auditions yet.

With audition submissions closing June 1 ( 53 days from today!) time is short to get your audition in and get into the top 10.  We will accept new auditions through June 1, and voting stops on June 15.

We have decided to sweeten the pot a bit to encourage those of you who might be dragging your feet.  Joel Comm has taken Top Affiliate Challenge under his wing and has offered to give a FREE copy of his acclaimed Secret Classroom DVD set to one of the people who has submitted an audition to Top Affiliate Challenge.

I was the second runner up on the Next Internet Millionaire and it has served as an inspiration for Top Affiliate Challenge in many ways.  I was present to hear the instruction of all but one of the gurus who appeared on the show, and I can tell you that the Secret Classroom DVD set is a must-have for any aspiring internet marketer.

Take the Top Affiliate Challenge staff for example.  One of our video editors asked if he could take a look at my copy of the secret classroom and he started watching the DVDs with his family every night.  Now his wife and children all want to blog,  their entrepreneurial fires have been stoked, and they finally understand the excitement I personified when I came home from the Next Internet Millionaire.

You can get your hands on the FREE copy of the Secret Classroom by simply uploading an audition video to the Top Affiliate Challenge Website.  On April 14th - this coming Monday - our programming guru Adam will select one person’s audition video at random as the winner via a PHP RAND function script.

In English, all you have to do to enter is get a video online ASAP!  This DVD set is a $500 value and Joel Comm was extremely generous to give us this as a prize.  Take a moment to thank him by visiting his newly redesigned blog at http://www.joelcomm.com and posting a thank you comment.

If you need some extra time to get your audition together, we have another free gift coming up soon from Eric Holmlund, the director of the Next Internet Millionaire.  Stay tuned….

Next Internet Millionaire Winner, Jaime Luchuck Talks About Top Affiliate Challenge

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

Jaime Luchuck was the winner of Joel Comm’s online hit reality show, the Next Internet Millionaire.  When Jaime came on the show, she knew little about internet marketing, maintaining a blog, or building a list.

That didn’t slow this Canadian wonder woman down as she climbed her way all the way to the top, winning the $25,000 grand prize, and selling more than $70,000 worth of her New York Times Best-Selling book over the web.

Jaime understands better than anyone else how a web reality show has the potential to change a contestant’s life.  In fact, there have been several moments as our staff has edited our live audition videos where the gravity of this project has hit home.

Watching contestants pour their hearts and lives out on video is hard enough, but then to hear why they want to be on the show and what it would mean to them to have an opportunity to learn from one of our three gurus can be downright inspiring at times.

You need to listen to Jaime talk about how TNIM went from a household joke with her father, to an audition musical, and finally to becoming the Next Internet Millionaire.

If there was ever a case that should convince you to audition for our show, it is in this video below.

Joel Comm Donates Copy of Secret Classroom for Giveaway

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

LISTEN UP!  We are going to incentivize you to get your auditions in as quickly as possible with some prizes that will be awarded randomly to those who have submitted auditions before March 15th.

Web-based auditions open up on March 1st.  We currently have our people contacting others about donating prizes for the “Early-Bird Audition Giveaway” as we are calling it here in the office.

The first person to step forward was none other than the Host of the Next Internet Millionaire, Joel Comm.  He is donating a copy of the Secret Classroom - a $500 value - for us to give away to one lucky person.

I have personally seen every scrap of information in this DVD set, and let me tell you - if you employ the tactics from this course in your audition promotion strategy you will be unstoppable.

Thanks for the support Joel - It means a lot to all of us working on TAC here in Nebraska.

Do you have a product or service you would like to donate for our “Early-Bird Audition Giveaway”?  Email me at thor@topaffiliatechallenge.com and let me know.

Joel Comm, Eric Holmlund Support Top Affiliate Challenge

Sunday, February 3rd, 2008

Since Top Affiliate Challenge is going to be produced in the mold of the web’s first reality show, The Next Internet Millionaire, it was very important to us to have the support and blessing of the men behind that show, Joel Comm and Eric Holmlund.

I had a phone conversation with Joel a few days ago and it was almost like I was sitting across the table from him at dinner pitching a JV idea again.  He listen patiently, asked questions, and then told me he loved the idea and was looking forward to the show.

Eric Holmund has offered to put us in touch with some of the crew from TNIM.  Their experience would be invaluable for Top Affiliate Challenge and would defiantly be a boost to the show.

Thank you for your support guys!  Our entire team appreciates it!

Welcome to the Top Affiliate Challenge Official Blog!

The Next Internet Millionaire was the web’s first attempt at reality entertainment.  At the time this was written, more than 491,000 people have watched at least one episide of TNIM.

There is no doubt that Joel Comm and Eric Holmund’s ground-breaking efforts pushed the envelope and advanced the idea that the web could be used to exclusively distribute serialized entertainment.

There were a lot of things that worked well for TNIM, and some that did not.  The Top Affiliate Challenge web reality show is not attempting to “out-do” or “one-up” TNIM.

We do want to IMPROVE on what was accomplished on TNIM and create an entertaining, informative, and fast-paced show that will keep you glued to your computer screen waiting for more.

While many of the details are still under wraps, the biggest difference between the Top Affiliate Challenge and TNIM is that this show will be filmed and realesed in REAL TIME.  This will allow our audience to participate with the teams as they work through various tasks.  In fact, the audience will be able to help push the team of their choice over the top!

There will be an audition process for this show, and we will ask those who audition to submit a video to us.  TNIM caught a lot of flack for playing fast and loose with the audition process, and we do not intend to make the same mistake.  There will be rules for submitted videos, and those who do not conform to those rules will not be accepted.

There is a saying that the pioneers always take the arrows.  Thank you Joel and Eric for pioneering this entertainment genre on the web.  Hopefully by following the trail you blazed, the Top Affiliate Challenge will build upon your success!
