Top Affiliate Challenge Hires Eworldwire to Manage Media and Press Distributions

Saturday, March 15th, 2008

One of the best marks of a leader is the ability to find and hire talent that can do a job better than you could.  While anyone can blast a press release on the web, the producers of Top Affiliate Challenge know we need professionals to get the kind of media coverage this show deserves.

That is why we contacted and hired Eworldwire to handle every aspect of the show’s promotion in the media.  Eworldwire is also signing on as a ponsor of Top Affiliate Challenge, so if you get a chance, let them know how much you appreciate their support.

Unlike many of the press release websites on the internet, Eworldwire is actually a news wire service much like the AP or Reuters is.  That means that editors across the country - and in fact around the word - subscribe to their wire service to get the latest happenings in the world of news.

In addition, Eworldwire doesn’t ignore the multimedia aspects of a release.  In fact, some of your auditions will be made up into a montage video that is released to the media in our press releases!  If you have been holding your videos back waiting for something, get them in now so you don’t miss this opportunity!

I can’t tell you what a relief it is to have Melanie, a press veteran with more than 15 years of experience in the industry, managing our efforts.   As good as we are, she is most definately better and we are a stronger team for having her!

Eric Holmlund Says Try Out for Top Affiliate Challenge!

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Eric Holmlund was the Director of the Next Internet Millionaire.  He was behind the scenes from the show’s inception all the way through to its final episode.

I had the opportunity to sit down with Eric at JV Alert Live and talk with him about some of the challenges he faced in production with TNIM.

Eric had a TON of great suggestions on ways things could we streamlined for our production.  More importantly, he gave us some sage advice to keep in mind while producing the show.

He told me if I wanted TAC to be successful, it needed to be jam-packed full of information, tutorials, and red meat.  He added that it was ok to deliver that in a reality show entertainment wrapper, but that has never bee accomplished by any other reality show format in existence today.

That got us talking about how we could take some of the best reality show concepts and meld them together into a new concept for a reality show.  That concept has become the heart of TAC.  After our discussion, Eric taped this for us:

Jermain Griggs Explains Why a Top Affiliate Challenge Audition is a SMART Marketing Move

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

Jermain Griggs of Nitty Gritty Marketing gave an awesome presentation about personalizing your customer service at Ken McArthur’s JV Alert Live.

After he was done, he stopped by to tell our cameras why any serious internet marketer should audition for Top Affiliate Challenge.

For those of you too lazy to watch, he pointed out that over 1 million people could see your face, see your URL, and learn what you do.  Considering the fact that auditioning is FREE, what do you have to lose?

Web auditions will be accepted starting March 1st.  Check out some tips on what you should do in your audition video here.

Mayor Beutler’s Press Release on Top Affiliate Challenge

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

We have had a few people ask how we got the city and local media so interested in Top Affiliate Challenge.

For example, Next Internet Millionaire was never interviewed by a TV station despite the fact that their budget was more than twice what we are spending.

Truth be told, we sent a press release to the local media and got zilch for attention.  We then regrouped and contacted the Mayor’s office.  We explained what we wanted to do and how it would benefit the city.

Before we knew it Trish had crafted a media release for the show out of the Mayor’s office that met with every one’s approval and they released it to the media.

The result was three stories in the local news paper, two radio interviews, and coverage on the 6:00 newscast.  Not too bad IMO!

KLKN TV-8 Covers Top Affiliate Challenge Live Auditions

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

KLKN TV-8 out of Lincoln, NE sent a camera crew to cover our live audition event at Nebraska Bookstore.  We received more than 2 minutes at the top of their 6:00 newscast.

For those not familiar with TV media, 2 minutes out of a 30 minute newscast is HUGE.  If you wanted to buy 2 minutes in the Lincoln media market during the 6:00 news, it would cost you more than $2,800!

They did a great job interviewing and editing the piece together .  For the most part, they got all of the facts strait.  watch it for yourself!
