To help potential sponsors see how they could fit into the Top Affiliate Challenge program, we developed a rate card that lists all currently available sponsorships, their benefits, and the investment cost for each.
Truth be told, I sent a press release to the local media and got zilch for attention. We then regrouped and contacted the Mayor’s office. We explained what we wanted to do and how it would benefit the city.
For those not familiar with TV media, 2 minutes out of a 30 minute newscast is HUGE. If you wanted to buy 2 minutes in the Lincoln media market during the 6:00 news, it would cost you more than $2,800!
We have been so busy managing the viral growth of the program that we have not even had time to write some simple blog posts.
All of the auditions we have taken will go live on the Top Affiliate Challenge website March 1st. Be ready to upload your audition on March 1 so you don’t miss out on the traffic burst we will get as people begin voting!

We will be doing live auditions Friday after the Next Internet Millionaire panel wraps up (scheduled for 7 PM) and on Sunday after the conclusion of JV Alert (scheduled for 5 PM).
Nebraska Bookstore in downtown Lincoln, NE has just signed on as a show sponsor and has agreed to host a live audition event on February 14th from 12-4 and February 15th from 4-8.
Their efforts will make the show MUCH more entertaining, informative and successful. Special thanks to the bureau’s executive director, Jeff Maul.
Top Affiliate Challenge is accepting applications for unpaid internships. Interns will be required to attend the entire filming of the show from late June to late July (approximately 4 weeks).
