Auditions Open Up Tomorrow! Are You Ready?

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Our staff has spent many hours producing the auditions from our live events and the website is ready to go thanks to Adam’s hard work.

As usual, we had some technical glitches that slowed us down a bit but Adam was able to overcome and make sure everything will go online as scheduled tonight at midnight.

If your audition videos are ready, I would suggest you get set to upload!  Remember, depending on volume, it can take up to 48 hours for your audition video to go live on our website.  There is no time to waste!

Next Internet Millionaire Winner, Jaime Luchuck Talks About Top Affiliate Challenge

Thursday, February 28th, 2008

Jaime Luchuck was the winner of Joel Comm’s online hit reality show, the Next Internet Millionaire.  When Jaime came on the show, she knew little about internet marketing, maintaining a blog, or building a list.

That didn’t slow this Canadian wonder woman down as she climbed her way all the way to the top, winning the $25,000 grand prize, and selling more than $70,000 worth of her New York Times Best-Selling book over the web.

Jaime understands better than anyone else how a web reality show has the potential to change a contestant’s life.  In fact, there have been several moments as our staff has edited our live audition videos where the gravity of this project has hit home.

Watching contestants pour their hearts and lives out on video is hard enough, but then to hear why they want to be on the show and what it would mean to them to have an opportunity to learn from one of our three gurus can be downright inspiring at times.

You need to listen to Jaime talk about how TNIM went from a household joke with her father, to an audition musical, and finally to becoming the Next Internet Millionaire.

If there was ever a case that should convince you to audition for our show, it is in this video below.

Willie Crawford Encourages You To Audition for Top Affiliate Challenge

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

We managed to catch up with Willie Crawford, one of the most famous internet marketing personalities on the planet.

Willie listened intently to our description of Top Affiliate Challenge, but was not available the days the show was being taped in Lincoln, NE.

Willie understood what a unique exposure and marketing opportunity Top Affiliate Challenge is, so he taped a little something for us to air anyway.

Eric Holmlund Says Try Out for Top Affiliate Challenge!

Monday, February 25th, 2008

Eric Holmlund was the Director of the Next Internet Millionaire.  He was behind the scenes from the show’s inception all the way through to its final episode.

I had the opportunity to sit down with Eric at JV Alert Live and talk with him about some of the challenges he faced in production with TNIM.

Eric had a TON of great suggestions on ways things could we streamlined for our production.  More importantly, he gave us some sage advice to keep in mind while producing the show.

He told me if I wanted TAC to be successful, it needed to be jam-packed full of information, tutorials, and red meat.  He added that it was ok to deliver that in a reality show entertainment wrapper, but that has never bee accomplished by any other reality show format in existence today.

That got us talking about how we could take some of the best reality show concepts and meld them together into a new concept for a reality show.  That concept has become the heart of TAC.  After our discussion, Eric taped this for us:

Jermain Griggs Explains Why a Top Affiliate Challenge Audition is a SMART Marketing Move

Sunday, February 24th, 2008

Jermain Griggs of Nitty Gritty Marketing gave an awesome presentation about personalizing your customer service at Ken McArthur’s JV Alert Live.

After he was done, he stopped by to tell our cameras why any serious internet marketer should audition for Top Affiliate Challenge.

For those of you too lazy to watch, he pointed out that over 1 million people could see your face, see your URL, and learn what you do.  Considering the fact that auditioning is FREE, what do you have to lose?

Web auditions will be accepted starting March 1st.  Check out some tips on what you should do in your audition video here.

New Top Affiliate Challenge Live Audition Event Scheduled!

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

That’s right folks!  The Top Affiliate Challenge cameras are hitting the road again looking for your auditions!

These live audition evens are perfect for people who want to get a jump on the competition, don’t have access to camera equipment, or just don’t have time to edit and produce a video.

This audition event is VERY unique :-)  Next Wednesday the  27th we will be at the studios of 104.1 The Blaze at 3800 Cornhusker Highway in Lincoln, NE from 7:00-9:00 AM.  This will be the LAST live audition event before the web auditions open up on March 1st.

For those of you who are planning to send in your own audition video from anywhere in the world, this live event holds something for you as well.  The Blaze is going to stream the auditions LIVE with video and audio on their website at http://www.kibz.com.  Some of the auditions will also be aired live on the air from the studio.

A lot of you have been asking us for audition tips, and we have a post coming up tomorrow with some pointers for you.  In teh mean time though, here are some things you should consider hen you come out to live audition events.

  1. The producers are not selecting who gets on the show - the VOTERS are.  So consider what you look like when you come out to audition.  Your goal is not to impress us, but to impress the people watching your audition video.
  2. Dress to get the attention of viewers.  If you want people to actually watch your audition video and vote it a”10″ then you need to capture their attention.  Anything goes in your audition video as long as it is classified as PG-13.
  3. Ask the viewer to vote for you.  I can’t tell you how many awesome live auditions we have taped here the person in front of the camera does not ASK the viewer to specifically vote them a 10.  You have about 2-3 seconds to capture a viewer’s attention with an online video.  Unless you have something REALLY compelling to look at, you better ask for the vote up front.
  4. Remember that you can submit multiple audition videos.  We will collect information from you at the event that will be used to create a Top Affiliate Challenge account for you on our website.  By logging into your account you can upload as many audition videos as you would like and switch between the ones you have uploaded at will.

There you have it!  I know a lot of you are planning on submitting videos in March, so this is your chance to see what kind of questions we ask in a live event, how people answer, and how you can tweak your audition so it stands out right from the beginning.

Be sure to check out http://www.kibz.com between 7 and 9 in the morning (CST) on February 27th to watch the action live, and if you are in the area, we look forward to seeing you at 3300 Cornhusker Highway in Lincoln, NE then!

Joel Comm Donates Copy of Secret Classroom for Giveaway

Thursday, February 21st, 2008

LISTEN UP!  We are going to incentivize you to get your auditions in as quickly as possible with some prizes that will be awarded randomly to those who have submitted auditions before March 15th.

Web-based auditions open up on March 1st.  We currently have our people contacting others about donating prizes for the “Early-Bird Audition Giveaway” as we are calling it here in the office.

The first person to step forward was none other than the Host of the Next Internet Millionaire, Joel Comm.  He is donating a copy of the Secret Classroom - a $500 value - for us to give away to one lucky person.

I have personally seen every scrap of information in this DVD set, and let me tell you - if you employ the tactics from this course in your audition promotion strategy you will be unstoppable.

Thanks for the support Joel - It means a lot to all of us working on TAC here in Nebraska.
